Tasted From a magnum, Tiva’s birthday wine. The color had juuust a little bricking to the edges and the cork was very vinegary, but the wine after a few hours really opened up and became amazing. Nose is amazingly still fruit forward and velvety for a 30yo wine, with slight hints of tar, plum, and somewhat musty forest floor. The acid is still there after all these years, with a freshness that’s surprising and just a hint of tannin. Fantastic for its age, and such a special, under the radar Wine!
