Complex and pretty expression of high-altitude California Chardonnay, full of yellow apple, peach, citrus, some mango, and hints of dill on a medium plus frame with buttermilk and creaminess to round out the lasting finish - no overpowering oak and a delightful sipper

The 125th anniversary 2014. Good, but for me a little too much butter to start that faded some as it opened up in the glass. The same with the heavy lemon and citrus flavors...somewhat over the top. Good acidity and finish. Just not the best pair with the first part of Turkey 🦃 dinner. I settled on this because I couldn’t find the Joseph Phelps Chardonnay I wanted for pairing.

There is potential in here somewhere, but right now the fruit is hiding way back behind a wall of acidity. It's very burgundian in that way (trope alert!) but the way it drinks now the path to improvement is through complexity with age. I don't think this was meant to be open any time soon. Give it at least 5 more years.

Well-crafted California Chardonnay on the rich, ripe and touch sweet side. Not particularly my preference.

Subtle California style, half-French almost a Chablis.

Chablis like. Tight at first but after a couple hours airing is a real treat. Definitely one to cellar 5 + years and really enjoy.
