Dolcetto d'Alba

Drank 3/25/19. Paired with Rigatoni Bolognese.

Red cherry earth, and leather on the nose. Similar flavors on the palate, with some firm, but well integrated tannins. Sour cherry on the long finish.

I love Italian wines, but could not pick this from sangiovese if tasted blind. A nice chianti alternative.

3/21/8/3/4 + 50 = 89 pts.

A nice value at $17.

First Dolcetto I’ve tried and I think I’ve found a new go to. Great earthy aromas with a nice long finish.
