This Carmignano DOCG wine marries Sangiovese and Bordeaux grapes like they were made for one another. Medium dark in the glass, the wine shows a bright cherry aroma, which turns into black cherry over time, as tar and smoke gather on the nose. The palate continues the dark theme, with a savory coat hung on the shoulders of the black fruit. The acidity is fresh, while the tannins provide plenty of power to take down beef, the fattier the better.

A lovely Italian blend of 70% Sangiovese 20 Cabernet 10% Merlot with a lovely aroma of: cherry ,leather ,tobacco ,oak ,black fruit , balsamic, game ,mushroom and licorice, full rich body intense yet elegant, with lovely acidity and a long fruity balanced finish. Interesting and enchanting. Goes fantastic with pasta and steak. My score 90, drink to 2023

With those classic grapes, I love this wine always have, last year we visited this City Carmignano, had the second wine from this producer, decanted like nothing, we loved the approach , probably the best Tuscan wine🇮🇹
