2011. Vibrant cherries and raspberries, evolving into earth and stone as it opens up. Huge on the nose and palate, with a light body.

The 1988 didn't have as much life left in it as the '87, sadly. Still lovely, with figs, herbal notes and some gamey goodness. But the fruit barely showed.

Gorgeous. Still prominent red fruit--cherries, raspberries, or as one person at the table put it, a freshly macerated berry mix. Lots of pinot funk layered on top, with bright acidity and lingering forever on our palates.
