Matthiasson
Spring Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir
Great, high toned, herbal and floral spice driven, edgy acid, fresh and delicious!

May 1st, 2018Reminds me of an old world style Pinot. Less ripe and not fruit forward. One the nose: floral, earth, vanilla, strong spice. On the tongue: sour cherry, clove, vanilla, earth. It’s missing that slate minerality for me, that I like in a Pinot. If you’re looking for a typical ripe Cali Pinot, this isn’t it! Still great none the less.

Feb 29th, 2020Hard to keep up with Matthiassons - now a Pinot Noir. Sonoma red fruit without the heat.

Mar 20th, 2018I was a little disappointed. Didn't really taste like a Pinot to me, and not as flavorful as a wine as full bodied (relatively) as this would normally be. Love Matthiasson wines in general, though!
