Sampled over a number of days. Initially I found the cedar (?) note fairly pronounced but over time the wine grew more balanced and complex. My sense is more time in the bottle will be kind to it.

What a wonderful Napa Merlot from Mathiasson. Quite deep in the glass. Tons of pepper on the palate which is interesting. Lots of dark red fruit - not blackberry, but blackcurrant. Excellent acid and a nice finish. Great pairing with pork chops with a mustard sauce.
