Red currants, menthol, fresh plum. Very food friendly. Still young, but opens beautifully after 30 minute decant.

Medium red color. Rustic nose. Medium tannins with minimal fruit. Seemed more like a Super Tuscan or Barolo than Napa red blend. Medium minus finish. I think this was past prime, but still nice.

2hr+ decant. Dark red color. Nose has cherries, pencil shavings, and burnt cedar. Wine has nice flavor, but lacks structure and depth. Medium finish. Love the French influence.

1hr decant. Dark red color. Might be just past prime. Very bordeaux like. Finish is solid but a little biting. Can’t go wrong with this!

Always fantastic! Drink sooner rather than later. Well balanced and similar to previous notes.

30+ minute decant. More restrained noses than previous bottles. Wine was also more fruit forward than rustic. Always enjoyable but this wasn’t on par with more recent bottles. The wife loved it, which is worth something!

If I had this blind I might have guessed ‘05 Bordeaux! Very similar to the equally priced ‘05 Bordeaux’s I have been loving but with a harsher finish. Would benefit from a 30+ minute decant. The nose has massive French influence. Great earth, tar, and cherry on the palate. Medium+ finish. Loved it! Paired nicely with java pork tenderloin. Still has some years left in it!
