This wine was a bit disappointing- the first wine I have ever tasted from Mr. Parrish that did not engender immediate taste nirvana. Perhaps it is too young, but the extreme amounts of young caramel oak overpower the wonderful flavors of this Napa Cabernet, even after extensive decanting.

This velvety-smooth Cabernet has a bit of sizzle on the tongue. thanks to its 14.5% alcohol. It is a big wine but the tannins are not quite so dense as to feel like "liquid bread". Plum and dark chocolate flavors are predominant, with a bit of coffee lingering in the finish.

A young Cabernet which really opens up after an hour in the decanter, this is a slightly sweeter take on the varietal. It still has the best features of Napa Cab: thick chewy tannins, bright cherry and rich mocha flavors, and a pleasant lingering finish that tingles on the tongue. The extra residual sugars would make it an ideal accompaniment to Asian-style meat dishes, but if you don't mind a splash of sweetness, it makes a great cocktail wine and probably a good gateway wine to the big reds for less experienced wine tasters.

A superlative Summer red, this Cabernet is medium bodied, silky smooth on the tongue, and very fruit-forward, sporting blueberry, black cherry, and pleasant currant flavors. I cannot stop drinking this elixir but I know I should save some for aging. Chill to around 62 degrees for optimal flavor.

A big, fruity, thick CS with lots of dark blackberry and coffee up front with a huge and heavy impact on the center of the tongue, and a long tingly strawberry finish. Excellent cocktail wine!

“Little dust on the bottle” for this one and it was still very good. Almost a decade on this and it still has plenty of berry flavor that has now blended with some earth tones, softer tannins and very smooth drinking.

This vintage is really silky. It does need time to open up and seeing other reviews I wish I had stored it for a year or so to see how the fruits mature. Still, I get fruit leather, apple and pineapple juice. It's tropical without being light, true to the heaviness of a cab. This was a beautiful wine!

Have been keeping 8 years of Matt’s wine and slowly drinking them at different intervals. This 2013 still is not too old and drinks even smoother than before. More earth tones come out as well as a better blending of the dark berries. Worth having again and good thing I still have more bottles.

Warm nose but with strange fruit. Sweet with sweet cough syrup finish. Unpleasant.
