Almost shiraz-like in rich/ripeness of fruit, toastiness & color. Those Chilean pepper/tomato undertones pop out. Big & meaty, good bit of heat on finish.

Light-moderate tannin, light-moderate acid, moderate plus alcohol, light moderate weight, moderate aroma. Blackberry, fig, mostly dark purple/black fruits.. Deep purple color.

Mar 19th, 2016Matetic Coralillo Syrah 2009. Biodynamic Syrah from Chile. A bit high in alcohol (14.5%). A bit too thick. Still, nice nose and good fruit flavors.

Berries berries berries ... Blueberries, blackberries... Beautiful deep almost black red. Loved it. £15 pounds at wholefoods market
