This is a very special wine..grown in the wall of ancient Pompeii.
The wine is too old and already in his final life.
Is a wine that cost around 100€ but is not made to last..so this vintage is already gone.
You still can smell some very mature red fruits and some vanilla..very acid you mouth will watering forever...not anymore balanced and very little harmonic.

I really liked this. Savory. Earthy. Rich. Tannins have softened. Developing tertiary notes. Piedirosso is an interesting grape!

Italy granted the great wine making family Mastroberardino exclusive permission to cultivate and harvest wines on the land of the ancient Roman city of Pompeii destroyed by Mt. Vesuvio. The soil offers depth to the flavor of a great Aglianico in the ancient tradition of Italy. Complex, but needs to age more.
