In retrospect I’m embarrassed I bought this expecting anything other than what it is. Like why would you use appassimento on a wine that already has high sugar and fruit and fuller body? You end up with candy apple and lifesaver notes and completely destroying the old world essence of this varietal. Also, I was never a fan of Luca marroni’s rating system, but this one is an outright sin. 99 points? Did you mean 99 grams of sugar?
