Massaya
Cap Est Beqaa Valley Red Blend
The second one is a Grenache- Mourvedre blend. Showing red fruits with wood, spices, peppercorn, coffee, earth, licorice, mint and black tea.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Medium plus in finish with nice tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 7 year old is fruity, yet showing lots of earth notes. A blend of new and old world wine.
Bigger than the GSM, with a nicer mouthfeel.
Good right out of the bottle and better after 30 minutes of airtime.
A blend of 50% Grenache and 50% Mourvedre. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
Both these wines were very unique and kept on changing every 15 minutes in the decanter. I love this kind of wines.

Needs air. Started out disjointed. Coming together after 45 minutes. High toned perfumey nose of dried flowers, crushed cherry juice, and cement. Loads of chalky tannin hit the mouth first, but then there’s some nice cherry liqueur fruit and clean cracked stones. Pretty decent acids. Probably will be better in a couple of years.

Oct 6th, 2018Corked. What a bummer esp since it was $40 for the bottle! Seemed to have nice complexity but we couldn’t finish it because of the smell.

Jun 4th, 2024Tasty. Dark, dusty red. Notes of black pepper, a little bit of chocolate & pomegranate. Medium bodied. Somewhat sweeter than my usual but has a nice tannic finish. Had with hashweh & muhamara, paired well with the food but would also be great on its own.

Very interesting Lebanese wine with plenty of dark, ripe fruit and dustiness. Not as raisined as I've often had from the area. Nice depth.
