Nov 9th, 2014Very complex, drink now. Strong red fruits, earthy, sweet spices. Animalistic aromas, leather, tobacco, decomposing banana and coffee grounds notes. Oxidative at first with nutty port notes and jammy fruits. Great with a big Italian meal.

Mar 25th, 2016masciarelli and valentini - the two supreme abruzzo vineries everybody else in the region has to compete with. for a reason i may add!
powerful and yet charming red, nose reminds me slightly of amarone though 2006 here has certainly less oxidative touch and feel than the 2004, fantastic fresh nose, hints of animalic attitude with impressive lenght. always underrated.
somehow libournais-esk, tannins are a bed of silk!
love it.
