Best Malbec I've ever had... not like any jammy Argentinian ones and bold with fruit forward.

Complex nose of blackberry, blueberry, and plum, with cocoa, violets, crushed rocks, and mint. Inky black, as one would expect a Cahors to be, with a gorgeous purple hue. On the palate, it shows intense black fruit flavors, grippy tannins, mineral and spice flavors, which continue in a long finish. Acidity balanced by moderate alcohol (12.5% abv), and assertive but rounded tannins make this an excellent food wine, but I enjoyed it equally before, during and after diner.

Very nice ripe cahors. Loads of black fruit and quite delicate yet robust finish

Inky, deep ruby, sour cherry & blackberry notes with a little limestone. Very far black fruit on the palate with a pleasing roundness and a little low-acid depth as well. Smoothly integrated tannins mark this particular effort a cut above.

Soft tannins. A hint of garrigue. Nicely not over extracted nor caramelly. Finesse over power. Elegant.

Ah the rating means nothing. I very much appreciated this black, inky, bloody, meaty wine of Cahor with such "fine" tannins. Really well made. I don't think I would reach out for Cahor that often, but when i do... :)
