Young winemaker. Natural. Richer than a cahors. Quite nice.

Best Malbec I've ever had... not like any jammy Argentinian ones and bold with fruit forward.

Complex nose of blackberry, blueberry, and plum, with cocoa, violets, crushed rocks, and mint. Inky black, as one would expect a Cahors to be, with a gorgeous purple hue. On the palate, it shows intense black fruit flavors, grippy tannins, mineral and spice flavors, which continue in a long finish. Acidity balanced by moderate alcohol (12.5% abv), and assertive but rounded tannins make this an excellent food wine, but I enjoyed it equally before, during and after diner.

Inky, deep ruby, sour cherry & blackberry notes with a little limestone. Very far black fruit on the palate with a pleasing roundness and a little low-acid depth as well. Smoothly integrated tannins mark this particular effort a cut above.
