Oct 4th, 2018Maryhill 2010 Proprietor's Reserve Zinfandel. Coffee and chocolate on the nose. A lush deep dark fruit lush nose. A little toastiness of warmth. Huge fruit right at the tip of the tongue. Huge fruit mid palate with a spice and pepper finish.

1 person found it helpfulMar 23rd, 2015Nice toasty coffee and coconut (from the oak) notes on nose and initial pallet). After 5 years I am surprised the oak is so prominent... So maybe I am missing something subtler here... But regardless, if you like zin, this is worth trying because it might change your mind about how good WA zin can be.

Jul 2nd, 2016At 11 years old, this 2006 tastes like a port, not a zin. It's an awesome port, though, to be fair.

Sep 3rd, 20172012 vintage. This is a head Turner for Washington Zinfandel. Fruit forward and absolutely delicious. Although I was only able to enjoy this as a sipping wine, I could very easily imagine this with some sauced up barbecue ribs. I MUST buy more of this wine! The wife and I totally agreed that this wine was superb....so much so that I had to join their wine club on the spot when we visited the winery this summer. What a gorgeous location and a stunning view of the Columbia river.
