2012 vintage. Wow...now this is a serious wine. Deep in dark fruit and terrior flavors and a fair share of tannins. This was pure heaven with a barbequed rib eye steak. Another of those wines that I keep on the shelf because they are bound to be wonderful when opened but I want to keep them as long as possible for slight aging. But I never buy enough soon enough before the sell out. Mark Ryan makes seriously wonderful wines and this is surely one of them. — 8 years ago
Wow, this was an exciting Viognier. I have only sampled a handful (10 -12) of different Viognier. This ends up towards the top of my present list of experiences. Nice, balanced and not overly acidic or too citrus. Must be the Rosanne that added a nice touch. Eill buy again. Great warm summer evening wine. — 8 years ago
2009 vintage. A while back this was one of my favorite every day Chardonnay. This vintage was one of the better ones that I kept around until a while ago when I pulled it for sipping with friends. It's still a very reasonable chard if you like creamy, oaky wine.....and I do. Lots of legs and creamy fruit but ultimately somewhat simple. Superb for every day drinking. I'll still pick up a bottle or two each year to check how the latest vintage tastes. There are a LOT of Chardonnay available but it's good to know which ones meet the personal bar of acceptability. This one does it almost every year. The 2009 was way above standard. — 8 years ago
2013 vintage. Had some friends over and pulled out 4 wines for a blind taste test. This bottle being the least expensive. It came out the hands down winner among both men and women. As others have stated, this could be a great introduction to red wines. I usually prefer to introduce reds with a Beaujolais or Pinot from Oregon, but this one runs it's own race. Dark berry fruits, very forward, almost over jammy but not overly so. Surprisingly likeable impact. Good wine for sharing with friends who are not stuck in the Bordeaux mode. Try it with barbequed sirloin slathered with BBQ sauce. Very nice but not too serious. Very good every day BBQ wine. — 8 years ago
Bought this last summer and cracked it open this summer. Another excellent pinot from Yamhill Carlton region of Willamette Valley. Soft on tannins as expected and fruit present/ balanced quite well. I LOVE these Oregon Pinots for their adaptability with various foods and absolutely my favorite for red wine sipping. I would definitely buy this again, but it's long ago sold out. Very satisfying while only partially breaking the bank. — 8 years ago
2014 vintage. Bought a lamb roast a while back and pulled out this Seghesio Zinfandel to match with it. This is a very pleasant every day zinfandel at a good price. Probably my favorite choice for quality at a good price. Certainly worked well with the lamb. — 8 years ago
2014 vintage. Mark Ryan makes powerfully wonderful Bordeaux blends. Here is another blend which is cabernet dominant. I am so thankful to be living so close to their tasting room in Woodinville, Washington. Unfortunately I am not alone, and these wines sell out each year. A typically tannic cab that displays it's fruit and earthiness. A pleasure to drink with a serious steak. — 8 years ago
2012 vintage. A very nice oak shaded Chardonnay. I like oak inflected chards as long as the fruit and terrior are also plenty discernable.. with all three present about equally I would rate a Chardonnay a 10. Not quite enough locale personality for me to really get excited withis one but a real pleasure to drink as a good solid every day wine. Recommended. — 8 years ago
2008 vintage but I bought it at the winery in 2016. After becoming overwhelmingly enamored with Oregon Pinots I wanted to try some Washington state Pinots. This one does a fair job but just not distinctive enough to stand out among so many others. — 8 years ago

2015 vintage. Paid $9.50 for this in hopes of a super find for a grenache rose. Poured it well chilled and tasted a bit of strawberry on first sip.; overall a bit weak on fruit and strong on alcohol, what I have come to classify as "not to my standards ". I waited until the wine warmed a bit and the flavor came out a bit more but still weak. I'll stick with those wines with greater fruit aromas and flavors and sense of terrior. Not recommended if you value the money you spend on wine and like it when your friends comment on the wine positively with something better than 'it's ok' — 8 years ago
