Anjou Blanc Chenin Blanc
A nice Chenin Blanc from vineyards along the border of 2 sub-regions, pale lemon color with aromas of white fruits and wet stone. On the palate flavors of apple and peach, complex, lively acidity. Long finish ending with mineral and sweet honey character, should age a bit, but great now! Good value!

Mar 12th, 2024A light yellow green in the glass the nose is medium in intensity giving subtle hints of lime zest, lemon blossom and honeysuckle. Medium acidity, medium bodied with a fleshy mouthfeel. White peach, honeydew, honey and pear give way to mint and slate on the finish.

Sep 19th, 2020Chenin Blanc, much like Chardonnay, truly exemplifies a sense of place. The environment, particularly soils, play a strong role in development of the wine. I adore Chenin from all corners of our globe, from sweet to mineral-driven, it almost has as much diversity as, dare I say, Riesling.
A solid buy at $14, prior notes apply; Chenin I always say I need more of you in my life...

A few months since our last bottle, notes are still consistent:
100% Chenin Blanc; Anjou AOC (Saint-Jean-des-Mauvrets)
Nose of dry limestone, honey, beeswax and dried apricots.
Palate has chalky apricot, peach skin, nice acid balance and medium finish.
$14, QPR is just a crazy value play!

Similar to the last time we bought this (2017 vintage) wine, but prior traits seemed to be dialed down 25%.
