2010 Gran Reserva. Oak fully integrated now and in the background. Super balanced. Best Lacuesta wine I’ve had

Sep 20th, 2022Ok, but I’m disappointed. Seems past its due date. Maybe a bad bottle. Rich, cocoa, stewed cherries. Not well balanced. Nose a bit hot. 13.5% al.

Opened this wine having purchased it many many years ago. Despite several house moves, this wine absolutely retained wonderful fruit flavours and balance. Paired with a garlic rosemary leg of lamb, dauphinois and a hot beetroot, squash, feta and pinenut salad. Amazing.
