The light ruby red '05 Martinelli Pinot Noir Russian River Valley shows sweet black cherry with a hint of allspice on the nose. The concentrated red fruit flavors on the palate pick up gamey and anise notes before fading to a medium-length finish. Still quite voluptuous for its age.
