Aug 26th, 2023Ahhh. Been a while since i’ve tasted a Müllen THKF. 2015? Maybe? Nose is ethereal and heavenly. Huge spice and earth. Tons of intense wet dripping minerals. Lovely peach. Vulcanized rubber. Sea breeze. The spice on this is just beyond. Wow this is stunning. So sleek, so refined, that little bit of sugar is just incredible. A kiss of sugar. Perfect balance. Amazing peach clarity here. Extraordinary concentration and density but light as a feather. Brilliant. Hidden structure that suggests decades ahead. Now the nose has lime blossom. And citrus blossom. What a core! This is an incredible wine.

Jun 20th, 2022What a wine. What a nose. Peaches. Apricots. Slate, kumquat. Herbs, canned peach juice, so complex such an array of aromas. The palate is an exercise in glorious balance and jaw dropping purity. Fleshy yet has energy and tension from acid. Almost tannic on the finish. Exceptional depth. So complex and lovely citrus. Amazing what a kiss of sugar does to Riesling. It has all the energy of a Trocken but it’s like the Trocken smoked a joint and is in chill mode. The herb is so fine.

Wow.
Nose is piercingly Fresh peach. As it opens more floral. White peach flowers. With more air intense florality.
Palate acidity just grabs you. Best peach ever. Not a “pleasant drinker”. This is a fantastic bottle of wine. Maybe some green apple skin ? Yes. As it opens green apple.
Wow. This is a Fucking great bottle of wine. Feinherb. But huhnerberg Feinherb. It’s own animal. A beast.
As this aerates it flirts with magic. In a hard to describe way. The aromatics get just so filigreed. Ok. Aromatics are crazy. A tropical flower perfume that explodes the nose.
The palate so precise. Wow.
This would be higher if the palate were as good as the nose.
Major bottle variation from the last bottle which was merely solid.

Palate: elegant peach. Apricot. Delicious.
To me more old style spatlese like. Fruit dominant.
