Oct 23rd, 202419 years young. Peach, apricot and so much slate. Very airy. Confectionary aromas as I coax it. Juicy, complex and mineral with that piquant 2004 acidity and lusciousness. Outrageously complex. Juicy as all can be with peach and apricots galore and a slatey mineral finish. Superb. Outrageous florals after air. Lilacs and even roses.

Apr 24th, 2021Insane in the membrane. Huge nose of citrus, lime blossom, pink grapefruit, petrol, slate and herbs. Insane perfume. What an elegant and complex palate that floats yet is so so intense and juicy. Wow what a finish and that insane 2010 acidity. Amazing purity and so so delicate. This is genius. So good now but will last and last and last.

Jun 18th, 2019What a nose. It pops. Big peach and apricot and that purest citrusy syrup dash of honey thing. Really singing. Slate in the background but beautiful and clean fruit. Floral and almost a nougat element as well. Stunning. Palate is at once opulent and also bone dry with razor sharp 2008 acidity and cleansing minerality and citrus on the finish which really is long and delineated. This is outrageous now.

Nose has dried apricots, very over-ripe nectarine, lemon peel, crushed slate, peach pit and wet vinyl curtain.
Palate has orange zest, ripe peach, ripe nectarine, nectarine skin, warmed lemon, green apple peel, fresh green herbal notes but with a light sweetness. Amazing wine, great acidity with very extended finish; Wow!
Decanted 6H. Expect this to drink amazingly 2025-2035+.
6D Update: Nose has honey drizzle over ripe apricot. Palate has dried orange peel, ripe peach, dried peach, green herbal note persists but coupled with dried orange.

Fantastic wine. And not even his top bottling. Mosel slate and acid blasts the palate. Some green apple and a hint of lemon pith. Crazy vibrancy. Lovely slate on the nose. Bought from fass selections.

Again with a bit more fruit than the other sites but a step up in quality & depth compared to the Kabi.
