Jun 6th, 2024Super clear and herbal nose. Loads of clean sweet pink celery, citrus, apricot and loads of mineral depth. Wow, so sweet and unctuous. Insane sweetness. So honeyed. Sick cotton candy opulence. Icing on cake texture. Such insane sweetness. Fruit profile is like a sweet Achat. Very melony fruit. Honeydew melon. So serene and zen like. Clementines. Insane structure and astute minerality. Best clarity of the all the Auslese so far. Elegant. Long and decadent.

Don’t think I’ve ever had a Kirchlay Auslese from Müllen before. This is brilliant and another hit in the sweet wines of 2018 Müllen. Awesome nose of slate, wet stones, birthday pound cake with vanilla icing. Lime, rock candy, ripe fleshy peaches and kiwi, airy elegant aromatics but also layered and intense. Palate is as usual, OMG level of insanity. Unreal texture like icing, vanilla, sappy peaches, pineapple, energetic mineral freshness and cloud like finesse. This is so sweet and hedonistic but compact and has enough freshness to carry it. Just an amazing wine.
