Rías Baixas Albariño

The Martín Códax Winery was founded in 1986 by a group of winegrowers in Cambados, the capital of the Salnés Valle. All grapes are sourced from their own vineyards. Pale yellow color with aromas of white flesh fruit and floral scents. On the palate crisp ripe apple, pear with lemon zest, light spice with vivid acidity. On the medium+ finish, crisp mineral ending with floral spice. Nice value! Tasting Sample.

Light gold color. Aromas of white flowers, lemon and minerals. Pallet features flavors of ripe pear, lemon, and peach. Hints of saline and spice on the finish. Medium bodied. Bright acidity. Crisp and clean Albariño.

Very nice wine. Bright and refreshing with a hint of salinity.

Fresh, tart, but not too much. High mineral taste and just a very little sweet.

Must admit though, Albariño is not my thing.

If you chill it, let it warm up a little to release the flavors

Good but not as good as other Albarinos I’ve had.

Very nice, fruit forward Albariño. Does not change much w/ oxidation. Worth getting for everyday
