Beautiful St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon. Lovely dark fruit flavors, lots of body and lingering flavor that makes you want to have another sip.

From a one acre organic vineyard on a hillside of the valley in St.Helena Napa Valley AVA. Minimalistic winemaking, native yeast and no new wood. Black cherry and nutmeg. Slightly rustic with mouth-coating tannin that tends to slightly suppress the fruit. Curious to see how this will evolve. Pricey though. 2013 vintage.Abv. 14,5%. 75 euro.

Way too young to uncork but showing a lot of potential!

Definitely will seek out more of these. Someone on another review app gave this one an 89. Of course it was the 2015, which I cannot understand if this 2013 is a solid 93. I enjoyed everything about this one. Black fruit front, espresso bean, licorice, little bit of plum. Finished with powerful blackberry fruit, black pepper, toasted oak. Delicious. Almost worthy of 94 IMO. Will seek out future vintages!

IMPRESSED! This is a full bodied on steroids of a wine from the St Helena AVA that is ALL THERE. Black and blue fruits, vanilla, plum, truffle, black licorice. Not so extracted that you just get fruit and oak, this one has the personality that makes you think, the complexity to go with just about everything, and the power to enjoy as a pop and pour or hold for 10 years. My 1st experience with 1 of these 2 that I bought a year ago. Slam dunk at 70 bucks per bottle.

The sixth release (2014) from the hand tended MC4 Estate. Dark fruit, red pomegranate and subtle brown spice notes are darkened by roasted sage and ripe plum aromatics. A focused entry widens, revealing dark berries, cassis and dark chocolate, accompanied by red lift and dimpled texturing.
