Gaudium Gran Vino Rioja Tempranillo Blend

First honeymoon dinner!

Delicious! Brought two bottles back from Spain in May 2014. New french oak, smooth tannins and bright fruit

fortunately the wine was nowhere near as massively proportioned as the bottle! modern Rioja with a tip of the hat to classic elegance.

Roasted red peppers, dark fruits, old wood, licorice, spices. Very acidic but refreshing, balsamic botes, medium finish.

Wow, hanging in there surprisingly well! #rioja

2005 vintage. I love the nose on this wine. I want to bottle it, and smell it on demand.
