Monthly WTF wine group tasting. This month’s theme was chardonnay from any region or vintage. Nice eclectic bunch! All wines tasted blind.
Lots of concentrated fruit here...orange marmalade, poached pears and Meyer lemon on the nose. Rich without being flabby. Just a touch of acidity. It smelled more old world but drank so warm, and I called it at least 14.5ABV which took me back to Cali. Because of the above, it took me to more Napa vs Sonoma. Very enjoyable now. Thanks @Benjamin Keator .

Feb 12th, 2020Of the two Chardonnays that Mark makes, this by far is the better one. He sources the fruit from Hudson Vineyards. One of my favorite vineyards for Chardonnay. Nice bottle.
