Simpatico Single Vineyard Shiraz

There’s a unique spice profile that marks Marius Shiraz. I do love it. Long long finish, tannin has a nice savoury grip balanced with dark black and red fruits. Florals in both flavour and smell, so much going on. A big step up from the 2014 Simpatico. Roger Pike has called it a day (https://rogerpike.com.au/news/), and at this point without any clear succession or sale 2019 will be his last vintage :(

Any Old World purist who reckons Australian wines lack character and are incapable of expressing terroir would shut their trap after one taste of this. Blood plums, blackberry compote, anise, pepper and savory, ferrous, earthy tannins.

Ripe, chocolate, lovely spice (not oak spice), balanced and nuanced, gentle tannin. Really nice .. glad to have made the mailing list.

Elegant and rich with a velvet mouth feel. An absolute pleasure.

Beautiful. Drank with our roast and could easily drink on any occasion with cheeses. A lovely drop. 🍷👏🏻⭐️⭐️
