Brunate Barolo Nebbiolo

This bottle is tired.

So good. Don’t know this producer but a heck of an introduction.

It’s more stewed and dry fruit but in a nice slimy texture.

This was brown bagged and I was able to guess it correctly. Beautiful Barolo.

Young

Black cherry, leather, dried rose dried sage nose. Delicate texture with bright acid black cherry, sanblewood, leather, clove, vanilla. Silky tannin. Try again in 3 to 5 years

High volatile

1999

With Ralf and Lara in Mexico City brought from Miami. Red fruit , cherry cinnamon smooth tannins. No tobacco. Rose petals. Absolutely delicious. Wine of the trip. 1 more bottle drink next 3-4. 2005 barolos drinking awesome.

Another high point last night. First time for this producer, impressive wine. Modern enough to stay approachable for several hours before the ripping tannins crescendoed to near chaos. Barolo is best when it bites back.
