I do enjoy a good wine on a Wednesday and tonight's wine does not disappoint. The 2011 M. Marengo Barolo is a nice wine at a reasonable price. This just goes to show you can find good barolo out there in the $20- $40 price range.
On the nose are notes of cherry, raspberry, plum, rose petals, mint and clay soil.
There is wonderful fruit on the palate that bursts into the senses. There is tart cherry, raspberry, plum, herbaceousness, anise, floral notes and freshly tilled clay soil.
The wine is medium to full bodied with medium + acidity and medium smooth grippy tannins.
All in all a very enjoyable wine that doesn't disappoint. Have a safe rest of the week. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷🖒
