Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Lacrima

Lacrima di Morro d'Alba is one of the world's great pizza wines, and tonight is pizza night. Super-dark saturated color. Funky nose of crushed, foxy blackberries and human skin. (Yup, I said that.) a bit of dank minerality too. Punchy, very minerally flavors. Good acids. Complexity? No. Long finish? Negative. But this is great pizza-cleansing, swallowable mouthwash.

Deep, floral, and aromatic. Crushed rose and pomegranate on the nose with a giving palate of boysenberry, blackberry, and currant. Neat wine.

Reminds me of Aleatico & Counoise..

Medium body, bright fruits, menthol quality, maybe even a hint of anise. Nice with iberico cheese.

What a pleasant surprise - violets and blueberry, bright, light and very food friendly

Drank without a food pairing. Blackberry notes in the scent. Slightly tannic on the first sip but mellows out to be enjoyable.
