Best Clos de Mez Morgon ever. Stunning nose. Black raspberry, blue raspberry, superbly mineral, leather and floral. Truly a wow nose. Just a hint of funk adds so much allure. Palate is ripe and juicy with an almost pastille like quality. Amazing juiciness and purity. Dense but light. Complex and what a mouthfeel. Amazing. You HAVE to age these. First one that is finally delivering after 8 years. Haven’t had in 4 years and just wow.

Completely new, yet familiar to me in style, but not the usual Gamay as this is sans carbonic treatment. Technically Valle du Rhone is in the Rhone and not Burgundy, and this shows that big time. Smoke, charcoal, garrigue stained red and black fruits, great acidity and minerality. Really cool stuff!
