Marchiori & Barraud
Perdriel Malbec
Black violet; dense. Peppery raisin and blackberry scented, it exhibits hints of licorice black olive tapenade, portobello, and grilled rosemary and baked dark rye.
Dried blackberry, dried cranberry, raisin-black currant with intense extraction. Rich and powerful at this price point. The pepper re-emerges, and black plum, fine graphite, black olive and oregano, thyme, and lovely tannins that flow texturally throughout. Intense, with a long long finish.

Soft nose of blackberries, blueberries, cherries, licorice, figs, cloves, earth, leather, green pepper, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices, peppercorn, vegetables, vanilla and wood.
Dry on the palate with cherries, blackberries, strawberries, earth, leather, black currants, plums, peppercorn, spices and herbs.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Long finish with firm tannins and tart raspberries.
This is a nice Argentinian Malbec. Interesting and balanced, with a spicy /tart kick. The nose is inviting and complex, while the palate is pleasant. Drinking nicely now, but needs an hour to open up.
Enjoyable by itself or with food. A Wonderful wine to pair with BBQ meats.
14.6% alcohol by volume.

May 24th, 2018Wonderful sipping wine. Full of flavor, starting with a sweet cherry with a great transition to a mild earthy, dough-like taste. Pairs excellently with the charcuterie board here.
