Our family loves the Mazzei wines and visited Fonterutloi this past summer. The Belguardo Maremma 2004 was a lovely bottle of Cab Sauv and Cab Franc. Tannins were present but softened by significant bottle age. I matched this wine with a lovely rack of lamb and the two went well together. Ensure that you give this bottle significant time to breathe, it opened up over the first hour or so.
