Chardonnay 90%, Pinot Noir, from Pomino DOC, one of most ancient appellations of the world, at a very high altitude, 700 m. asl. Amazing wine, specially at this price (€30). #Vinitaly

What a drinkable, elegant sparkling wine. Surprising from Tuscany

Pomino Bianco DOC 2011, 12.5%. Disgorged in 2014, bottle tasted in December 2014.
This is a new product, a classic method sparkling wine made by one of the smallest DOC in Tuscany.
Light golden color, rich of fine and persistent bubbles.
Nose with scents of summer fruits like peach, bread crust and yeasts, a little honey too.
In the mouth it is quite exuberant, with good acidity, very pleasant to drink.
Not comparable to sparkling wines from North of Italy, this wine is truly born "under the Tuscan sun"!

Succulent and aristocratic, a splendid niche sparkling. Almonds, cedarwood and cinnamon.

Surprisingly good Spumante from Frescobaldi. Bold and rich, a good substitute if you're craving a Champagne fix.
