A bit young but I got excited! Definite and distinct minerality. Plum, clove, balsamic, vanilla, dark chocolate. Balanced and structured, with smooth, elegant tannins. A nice expression of 2012, everything I want in a Brunello!

Super complex wine. Very young but approachable. Need hours of decanting. A steal @$36.99

A young but complex wine for its age. Beautifully smooth, proved an excellent accompaniment for pasta.
Will no doubt age very well for some years to come

Another oak driven Brunello, but if I had to choose between this and the Gaja Brunello, it would be this. Remarkable brightness in the Castelgiocondo and a rather enjoyable mineral mid-palate.

NB: Definitely looked younger than the Gaja - more acid and tannins.

Very complex for a wine this young... light&smooth, needs quite a bit of decanting time. Will buy more for aging
