Single vineyard, single varietal. Purchased at the winery. Deep ruby coloration. Heavy tearing. On the nose, just out of the bottle, green pepper, black currants, forest floor, dark berry. On the palate, red berry, currants, pepper, forest floor/earthiness/minerality, vanilla. Full body, strong tannins. Will revisit once it breathes some. Becoming more velvety with robust anise and currants. Jammy dark berry. Strong minerals and vanilla. Following a long decant: on the nose, more dark fruit like blueberry, coffee, chocolate, tobacco and minerals. On the palate, full bodied and lush mouthfeel with notes of plum, blueberry, saline/minerals, sweet tobacco, chocolate, vanilla, and a very long finish. K likes it a lot.

A deep brooding heat of a wine. Massive on the palate. Really a treat to try. Boom. This can pest another 20-30 years
