Holy cow this evolved beautifully. Cork crumbled and I didn’t expect much but the kaleidoscope of aromas and flavors are unreal.

2006 vintage. Decanted and tasted after an hour. Quite a bit of sed. Light-medium/medium body. Sandalwood, plum, orange peel and raspberry all on display here. Good focus remaining. Figure it to cling to this spot for another 4-5 years before going down a notch. 1.19.24.

About 1 hour decant (chunky/fine sediment). A dazzling burnt red garnet with good bricking. On the nose: Big nose of ripe cherry, spice, smokey earth, eucalyptus, little tobacco hit at the end. Taste: a creamy, elegant, balanced medium plus body wine that hits you with layers of flavor... red cherry, herbs, orange peel, mushrooms. and a powerful cedar strawberry long finish. Kaboom! A beautiful aged Burgundy.....I mean Sonoma Coast pinot!

This is a continuation of the wines that were at the fourth Friday gathering in Fort Worth, TX. As @Shay A mentioned there were too many wines to taste them all. Here are a few other great ones that Shay did not post.

It was fun to drink a Marcassin Pinot with some age on it. Thank you
@Keith Fisher
