Forgot these notes from earlier. Marc's tribute to the previous owner of this vineyard in Fleurie. Popped and poured for visiting guests. Smokey and herbaceous on the nose. Surprisingly tamed on the natty barnyard profile. Quite a mouthful, with grainy texture and oodles of earthy cherries and blackberries. Ripe acidity and spicy finish. This was better than expected, and one to revisit with more air.

Very light bodied, carbonic, tart cherry, berries, some vegetables. It’s good with a chill.
