2009 vintage
This is what I expect for a modern Chambertin. Nose is of beautiful red ripe berries, light tar, eucalyptus, "Barolo like". Barrel is perfectly well integrated at such a young stage and it is beautiful to drink now.
Firm and silky tannins, medium high acidity, medium high intensity, ripe strawberry, light toasts, ripe Black cherry, cocoa.

Finally a bottle from this producer that lived up to the initial hype. A beautiful nose of ripe red cherries, violets and wet soil. The nose follows straight to the palate. Very round and drinkable but plenty of structure to gain complexity and step up to another level. Despite the heat of the vintage this had plenty of acid and freshness..
