Decent looking label. Rushing river pic. Color is good. Deep red. Not strong smelling. Bit of the herb garden mixed with tart red stone fruit. Flavors are simple and plenty tart, but pleasing and ‘French’ in style. Meaning dry, gravelly, elegant and winey. Balanced, but not very complex. Table wine for simple but hearty foods. (Full disclosure I was told by my ex-girlfriend that the wine from the region that shared her name was not good, so I had low expectations and this exceeded them).
