The age on this wine has done it well,
Luckily spotted it on my rack, and opened it, because it is time!
Always loathe it when a mass importer slaps its sticker on the front label with fervor and ego-glue, as its hard to peel off..
After some airtime, the nose produces hazelnut and berry creme brûlée.
Dark red plum, cherry, grape kool aid (Ha!).
The oak shows through very subtly, with nice, albeit quick flash of bright acidity, this taper to a long zing. Zingzingzing.
Another year or so I fear this wine would be dead.

Красное яблоко, корица, земляника, довольно лёгкий аромат. Заметное количество нового дуба, цветочные оттенки, зеленоватые нотки. Как-то несколько разобрано, послевкусие средней длительности.

Feb 4th, 2017Drinkable, kinda boring, light French oak. Aftertaste has a little cotton candy, which I dislike & have found most often in Californian Grenache. Aftertaste also has a little peach. Probably wouldn't buy again, but would drink again. Might be better in 3-5 years?
