Smooth as you could conceive and flavorful as cherry juice. This wine gets down then the tannins wake you up and say no we are gonna play. They are smooth friendly tannins so you say okay. And all is relaxed

Big cherries upfront, was a little tight but opened up nicely after ~15min. Some leather/saddle, minimal earthiness, overall nice.

This is a bit better with "classic" pinot notes. The ABV throes this off on the nose and adds nuance on the palate. Picked this up for about $15. Still searching for that perfect, affordable, balanced pinot. This is decent. Reminds me of a wine I might find at an everyday pizza shop. Hence, went well with pizza.
