2013 dark fruit n nutmeg on the nose. Fuller bodied pinot, ripe n fruit forward, light spice. Nice soft tannins on the finish. A little bit high alcohol for a pinot, but I thought it was DELICIOUS.

MacMurray Ranch was purchased from the Porter family by famed actor Fred MacMurray in 1941. Dark Ruby with black fruit aromas and usual rustic spice tones. On the palate cherry and cranberry flavors with jolt of cinnamon spice, leather backed with soft tannins on lingering finish, nice value.

Wow, very high ABV for a Pinot. Not a favorite by any means. Try something else if you can.

Found this 2016 on the shelf at a local grocery wine department. Rating based on QPR..nice PN for under $20..would consider it a nice table wine. Fruit and Earth (which dominates) balance is really nice! 14% ish alc. No burn! Also one of the very few PN in this price range that is not laced with Mega Purple!

This wine is simple but I do appreciate the show of earth qualities, fruit does not dominate! I am getting mushrooms, tea leaves, cardamom and forest floor! Fruits of cranberries, cherries and pomegranate actually show up on the finish! As I taste I keep wanting to raise my score! At 14.5 alc. It is nowhere; smooth as silk! Not an overly complex wine but interesting to explore. I decanted this for 90 min. and consumed with a chill. For under $20 I would get again and it is not laced with mega purple!
