La Combe Pilate Colline Rhodaniennes Viognier

Lovely typical n. Rhone viognier. Aromatic of trampled roses and wild honey. On the palate too, with passion fruit. Medium bodied. Enjoyed!

Floral nose, dried nectarine and apricot, flowered honey, crushed stone.

White flowers, dried orange, honeyed herbs, crushed white stone.

Classic viognier- lillies, sunflowers, dry honey and oranges. Medium-full bodied. Deep in color. Lower in acidity. This will not get better with age- drink now.

Pretty good. Smooth

Excellent white wine

Solid wine. Full body with floral and mineral notes.

Not a fan. Seemed sugary and fake. I’m not sure what they do in their process that makes this IGP but it does not have the qualities I look for in Viognier

A very good and drinkable organic Viognier from the Rhone by M. Chapoutier, who produces some of the great red Rhones. Under $30, full of ripe pear, melon and peach flavors with some soft acids and salinity to ensure its not cloying.
