M. & C. Lapiere
Morgon Gamay

This was the sans soufre “N”. Not a patch on the S that I had in a restaurant recently, but maybe that’s bottle variation? I loved the 2019 S I had. One of the best vintages in the last 5 years I thought. Now I’m not sure!

Still zingy and fresh, but mellowed fruit. Lovely character.

Blossumed after two hours of decanting. Tart cherries, raspberries, and potting soil. Easy drinking and very rustic, best with food. 🍒🍒🍒

Really don’t like the melted wax thing covering the cork. Makes a mess and inevitably some gets into the wine. So not necessary. With that said, a fine daily drinker wine.
