The 2021 Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands) is a lovely appellation-level wine. Crushed flowers, sweet red cherry fruit, cedar and cinnamon are all nicely lifted. Soft, silky tannins grace the long, delineated finish, with pretty floral top notes that linger. Delicious. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2023)

Nov 30th, 2023Shimmering ruby. Pungent cherry, red berry and floral aromas are complemented by a zesty spice topnote. Taut and nervy on entry, then more fleshy in the midpalate, offering bitter cherry and raspberry flavors that show very good depth as well as energy. Fine-grained tannins lend gentle grip to a clinging finish that strongly echoes the spice note. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, October 2020)

Oct 30th, 2020This balanced, spice-tinged Pinot Noir offers sappy red fruit and floral character, with a spine of juicy acidity keeping things lively. A bit of air stretches it out and brings up a hint of musky earth. Finding delicious Pinot in the SLH is easy, but real values are far harder to come by. $24.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, September 2020)
