“The Nebbiolo of Portugal.” 100% Baga.
Licorice, hibiscus, and white pepper. Stunning acidity with a firm tannic breadth. Tight with long life ahead.

"The Lopez of Portugal"- what a beauty. Leathery red fruit, with dried floral notes and a touch of jamon iberico. Silky and full rounded palate, with a little allspice and sweet earth that lingers. By far my favorite Portuguese producer, Bairrada is my new jam.

Really interesting Portugese white, 40% bical/40%cerceal/20 something else! On medium end of a light frame, all white flowers & freshness w an undercurrent of Burgundian rounded deliciousness.

Dark, brambly fruit and spice on a lithe 12.5% ABV frame. Med + acid, med tannin. I clearly need to drink more dry Portuguese wine... 😍🍷

Tobacco and black pepper bouquet. Full-bodied. Cherry colour . Intense flavor. Ripe blackberry taste with black pepper and chocolate notes. Lasting balsamic aftertaste. Firm, balanced tannins, considering the varietal.
Baga is a very difficult grape to work; it takes skill and time to get a monovarietal Baga wine to perfection. Amazing wine. I tried the 2010 harvest in late 2017. I’m holding a couple of bottles of this vintage in the cellar: I’m sure that in 5 more years they’ll be outstanding.
