The 2020 Satyricon bursts from the glass with a spicy mix of dried roses, black currants, camphor and ground ginger. It’s racy and sleek in style, with gobs of saline mineral tones up front that give way to tart blackberry, all contrasted by a twang of sour citrus. Dark inner florals resonate throughout as the 2020 finishes with a staining of salted licorice and edgy tannins, coming across as youthfully structured and energetic. The Satyricon will be best paired with a meal today, yet will ultimately benefit from two to three years of cellaring. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2023)

Great producer! Right after opening it was drinking well. 2 days later, I notice the vinegar notes, but still holds up. Darker plum fruits, with acidity and spice keeping away any heavy sweetness. 14% abv.
