This is one of my go-to weeknight Italian pasta wines. The 2012 has a bright, zingy nose of ripe but tart berries and a warm moist earthy quality. Loads of zesty ripe cherry-berry fruit followed by a clingy roasted herb mineral thing. Mouth filling but medium bodied. Fantastic acidity keeps it fresh.

Notes of cherry and raspberry. Isn't really a baby Amarone to me, but it's pleasant enough. Smooth, mellow, with just enough acidity to keep it from being flabby. Long finish and is much bigger after being open for an hour. Had it with sliders. $18.

nice and drinkable, a bit short on the nose but went well with our heavy Italian fare!
